Full Description of Services
(1) Full eye examinations include the determination of your most updated prescription, as well as eye health evaluations and screening for ocular diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, macula degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.

(2) We offer contact lens evaluations and premium lens materials to optimize vision, comfort, clarity, and health. Our in-depth evaluations not only address prescription issues, but also each patient's individual lifestyle. We prescribe a wide range of specialty lenses including, but not limited to: disposable contacts, colored contacts, toric (astigmatism-correcting) contacts, bifocal contacts, rigid gas permeable lenses.

(3) We have the latest state-of-the-art testing equipment, including:
  • Auto-refractors to help confirm examination room findings
  • Tonometers to monitor eye pressure and help screen for ocular diseases like glaucoma
  • Visual-field instruments to help with peripheral vision testing
  • Corneal topography mapping to measure precise corneal eye structure
And we are pleased to announce we have introduced the latest in eye-health monitoring technology:
  • Retinal cameras that take actual images of the back of the eye so we can track eye health and record high-resolution images for future reference.
We moved ahead of the pack and implementing electronic medical record keeping since 2009, which was not mandated by the government until 2014. Paperless records are not only more environmentally friendly, but electronic record keeping will mean faster and more seamless visits, and make it easier for patients to transfer records from one office to another in the case of emergency, or if you move out of the area.

(4) Times have definitely changed, and as technology advances, more and more patients are dealing with computer-vision issues. Our trained doctor and staff are ready to assist you in diagnosing your computer-vision issues, and helping you to choose glasses that will optimize your computer vision, reduce glare, and relieve eyestrain and fatigue.

(5) Our licensed doctor can diagnose and treat a wide number of different ocular diseases such as: Conjunctivitis-Pink Eyes, Dry Eyes, Allergies, Corneal Abrasions, and many more. In some cases, medication must be prescribed and our licensed doctor can also issue prescriptions for treatment, if necessary.

(6) Thinking about laser correction? Our doctor is highly experienced in laser vision co-manangement, and will perform complimentary consultations with every examination. We walk you through the process in a clear concise manner and will be with you every step of the way from the consultation and pre-operative exams, to post-operative follow-up examinations. We co-manage for all laser correction methods and will give you customized recommendations for the best option for you.

(7) Dr. Lisa Ko completed an additional year of schooling and is certified to treat patients with Low Vision. We provide special eye care evaluations for patients with reduced vision due to eye disease resulting from macula degeneration, glaucoma, or diabetes and can prescribe and order low vision aids as needed.

(8) In addition to regular contact lenses, we have a unique contact lens fitting technique to actually reduce or, in some cases, prevent nearsighted progression with the use of specialty rigid lenses.
Family Vision Center is please to be part of a select few offices that offer this new technology, whereby a state-of-the-art, specialty contact lens is worn at night to temporarily correct nearsightedness. Lenses painlessly reshape the cornea, thus correcting vision for the following day with no need for additional contact lenses or glasses - a perfect option for those with irrating daytime allergies, or who are active in sports where traditional contacts are not ideal. We'll work with you to determine if this is a good option for you, and if so, we'll also help with insurance billing for these specialty lenses.
